Oh no! The forecast for your vacation is calling for downpours. Never fear! There’s no need to cancel. Wait until you see the memory-making, rainy day activities on Hilton Head.
Go to the Beach!
You were going to get wet anyway, right? As long as there’s no lightning or heavy storm warnings, a little rain won’t hurt, especially if you have a beach umbrella. As a matter of fact, you might find you have the place to yourself, with some beautiful views.
Maybe it’s not the most creative idea, but you know it will make everyone happy. To save you some trouble, here are the theaters to check out: Park Plaza Cinema, Coligny Theater, and Northridge Cinema.
You were going to need to get some souvenirs anyway, so why not spend those rainy days at Tanger Outlets or Coligny Plaza finding what you need.
Try Some Mini Golf and Arcade Time
Adventure Cove is the island’s one destination for indoor playtime which includes gaming for the video game buff and mini-golf for those who want to stay active.
Play at the Museum
Learning can be more fun than it sounds. Young children are going to love the interactive museum, The Sandbox.
Escape rooms are all the latest rage. Hilton Head is on top of that! HHI Escape will give you and your family an hour of working together on problem-solving as you try to use the clues to escape. What family couldn’t use a little of that?
Maybe it’s a good time to explore the places where adult beverages are made. A sampling at the end of the tour is a given. Try the Hilton Head Brewing Company, Hilton Head Distillery, or Island Winery.
Rain doesn’t have to mean gloom and doom, and certainly not boredom! It can actually bring a much-needed break in your beach routine. Embrace those wet days!
