Now that you’ve fed the kids ice cream and had them out on the beach all day, don’t think they’re going to lie right down and go to sleep. The kids are on vacation too, and they want to soak up all the fun they can get! Lucky for you, Hilton Head has fun activities all day, and even into the night. Which is best for your family?
Nighttime Beach Walk
Although this is not a formal event, it’s something everyone should try. Once the sun starts to set and the tide goes in, the beach becomes a giant playground. Many other friendly vacationers may join you, but the beach is not nearly as crowded as in the day. The water is warm, the waves provide a beautiful sound drop, and the sky is vision you can’t miss. And hey, no one needs sunscreen! It’s a great time to walk the beach.
Fireworks Show
Summer is something to celebrate, and not just on the 4th of July! That’s why Shelter Cove provides a free fireworks show every Tuesday evening at dusk from June through August. Adding to the celebration, Shelter Cove also provides food, arts & crafts, and entertainment. Let’s go, summer!
Atomic VR Arcade
If your older kids (8+) don’t seem as engaged in your vacation activities, here’s a great way to get their attention. A great activity for rainy days or evenings, bring your kids to one of 4 gaming stations at the arcade and play within your family, or with others around the world. It’s an escape during your escape that will be sure to please the video game fan in your family.
So there’s no need to worry if your family is nocturnal. Hilton Head offers plenty to do when the sun goes down!
