You are probably very excited about your upcoming Hilton Head vacation. So excited that you don’t know where to start once you get there. Take a few minutes to think about why you are coming to Hilton Head in the first place so that you can make a plan for your trip. But, since it is Hilton Head, don’t forget to add in a few extra activities to make sure you aren’t missing out.
If you are coming for golf or active time…
… Rent a bike! You may have decided to visit the island to get some golf time in, but take a day out on a bike to explore the island and see what else you might be missing. If you take your tour early enough in your vacation, you should be able to have time to plan a nature hike too!
If you are coming to relax…
… Check out the beaches and everything you can do by the sea. Hilton Head is known for its many relaxing beaches, and you should try to take advantage of one by planting your toes in the sand. But while you’re there, take a look at the other activities you can do in the water, such as deep-sea fishing or going on a dolphin-watching cruise.
If you are coming for the food…
… Research the restaurants, bars, and clubs in the area. The Lowcountry (where you find Hilton Head) is known for its distinctive Southern dishes. Coming seaside means you are sure to discover some of the freshest seafood around. Don’t forget to look for one of the Lowcountry’s signature dishes – shrimp and grits!
Of course, if you are worried you won’t be able to get as much out of your visit to Hilton Head this time around, the obvious solution is to make sure you book another trip to get the rest of the experience.
