For those of you in the Hilton Head area, searching for ideas for day trips, this is just what you’re looking for. While there’s plenty to do in Hilton Head, it’s hard to fit it all into one day. What you’ll see here are ideas worth coming to the island for so that you can try to get as much as you can out of one trip.
Historic Day Cruise
If you are looking to get as much history about the Lowcountry as you can in about six hours, consider taking the Historic Savannah Cruise. A cruise is a great way to get around town because you really don’t have to deal with much traffic. Reservations can be made for this trip rain or shine, since you can take advantage of the open air upper deck on a sunny day, or the air conditioned cabin below if it’s too hot or rainy. After the cruise, there’s still time for some shopping in Savannah to complete your trip before heading home.
Dolphin Tour
Looking for a little more excitement for your family while you’re out cruising the water? You might enjoy a trip through the Lowcountry salt marshes to watch the birds and search for dolphins. Since the sea life is used to boats coming around, your kids might get a close up view of these happy creatures.
Pirates of Hilton Head
Your kids will love this once in a lifetime opportunity to spend the day as a pirate. This attraction is more than just dressing up and talking like a pirate. Passengers will be given a treasure map and a quest to blast Stinky Pete the Pirate with a water cannon to obtain the key to the treasure. It’s a trip that guarantees fun for all, maties!
You may be looking at these trips trying to figure out which one you want to try. You are welcome to come back and visit as many times as you like. Get to know us all summer long!
