If you have chosen to spend time away with your family at Hilton Head Island, chances are you are looking forward to an active vacation. The island community is known for its popular outdoor sports opportunities. While golf and tennis may be primary attractions, bike riding should not be forgotten. Not only is it great exercise, but it’s something the whole family can do together. However, it’s important to stay safe. And one of the best ways to do that is to know where you’re going. Visit one of these bike trails to make navigation easier on everyone.

Sea Pines Trails

To get an inclusive bicycle self-tour of the island, try one of the trails at Sea Pines. Fifteen miles of riding will take you along such points of interest as the Stoney-Baynard Ruins, the Sea Pines Shell Ring, along with popular forests, golf clubs, and shopping destinations. It’s a great way to get to know the more popular places on the island.

Jarvis Creek Park

If your plan is to get some exercise, you might consider the one-mile loop at Jarvis Creek Park. The beautiful scenery will be enough to keep you pumped and motivated to keep the loop going mile after mile. When you finish your ride, you can relax in the many acres of soft grass in the park.

Coliginy Beach Park

Going for ride at the beach, for many, means riding the boards on the boardwalk. Join the many others – both locals and visitors in your bike ride as you all feel the ocean breeze against your face. When you finish? Cool off with a dip in the ocean!

Stay active, stay healthy, stay safe. If your family stays together on any one of Hilton Head’s bike trails, everyone will go home happy. And don’t worry if you didn’t think to bring your bikes from home. You can always rent them from us!
