Although Hilton Head never really gets hit with too cold of temperatures in the Winter, it’s still nice when Spring finally rolls around. Everyone in the surrounding areas is digging themselves out of hibernation and planning Spring Break vacations with their eye on the beach. If you’ve outgrown the chaos of a Myrtle Beach Spring Break but still want the sand of a South Carolina beach between your toes, look no further than Hilton Head Island. There are plenty of reasons why you should plan your Spring Hilton Head vacation, but if you need a little convincing, here are a few of our favorite reasons to call Hilton Head home in the Springtime.

The Weather

With highs in the upper 60s and 70s, why wouldn’t you want to bask in the sun that shines down on the beaches of Hilton Head? The lows rarely get below 50 and the gradually warming temps are a gentle reminder of the scorching summer heat that will soon follow. Take advantage of the milder temps on Hilton Head in the Spring and check out the many festivals, golf courses, and bike trails without breaking a sweat!

The Festivals

From February and on into April, you can indulge in Lowcountry culture and cuisine thanks to some amazing festivals held on the island. The Hilton Head Seafood Festival runs from February 19th through the 25th while the Wine & Food Festival runs from March 24th through the 30th. These are two phenomenal food and drink events you don’t want to miss!

The Golf

Did you know that the Lowcountry area is home to 26 award-winning golf courses? You could book a boys-only golf vacation or a ladies’ sports getaway at any one of the amazing resorts or villa rentals available on the island. The options are virtually endless.

The Bike Trails

As we mentioned before, the milder temperatures will make it more appealing to get around the island like the locals do. On a bicycle! You don’t even have to bring yours from home. You can rent one for every member of your group and take off on any one of the 64 miles of public pathways or nature trails to take in all the beauty this island has to offer.

The Watersports

While it may still be a bit too chilly for an everyday swim in the ocean, true adrenaline junkies don’t care how cold the water is! The watersports offered all over the island are sure to keep everyone entertained and all the moms on their toes. But don’t worry, you can still take a kayak out for a nice leisurely trip across the water while they whip across the waves on jet skis if you want!

Now that we’ve given you all the reasons you need to book your Spring Hilton Head vacation, it’s time to start packing!
